One thing I noticed on my road trip was that the brakes weren't that great. I had experienced some serious brake fade at times so I decided that I wanted to change more than just the pads, I found that the bigger calipers from a fiesta st150 were a straight swap for the front.
Brakes felt better after the swap, never experienced brake fade since. However I think this upgrade would really benefit from an upgraded master cylinder to improve things further.
