a F40 etc. is in a different league, these cars are more of an investment (than an RS ford) and i would be scared to break something while driving.
I do agree with you that Cars are meant to be driven and enjoyed but for some people they are bought purely for investments and will never turn a wheel or get any mileage put on them.Their owners just look at them as a commodity to keep long term to make money, Their enjoyment is in the profit they will return not in driving them!
