Default T25 Escort Cosworth won't start

Had trouble a couple of months ago when the car wouldn't start, but it was firing and trying to start. Removed coil cover and there was a bit of oil in a couple of the spark plug holes, which will be due to rocker gasket leak. Tested coils and injector signals with noid lamps which flashed, so was getting signal from ECU. Cleaned up oil checked plugs. All looked ok. Put back together and the car started. Went for a run and was misfiring under load. Fitted new sparkplugs and all was good. Used the car a few times with no bother.

Went to it about a week ago after it had stood for a couple of weeks and now won't start and not firing at all. I've had this before when the crank position sensor was the problem. I removed it and tested resistance which was circa 100k ohms. I checked it when I first fitted it and it was circa 450k. The knackered one was over 1.5meg so strange that this time resistance seems to have reduced, rather than go high. Fuses are all ok, Fuel pump primes, but can't hear it when cranking. I'll try my noid lamps later but would expect no signal to injectors, which would suggest crank sensor u/s. Would anything else cause same symptons of not firing at all?

I've read the codes and only tells me that air con is disconnected (code 51), which I know about. Nothing else

EDIT - scouring the net and looking at a code table for EEC IV, it seems to be different to what came with my code reader. Code 51 is ECT (Engine coolamt temp) reading too high/out of range. Would this prevent the car from starting though?

I've tried ordering a new crank sensor but nobody seems to have any. Graham Goode and Burton both nil stock. Can't get from Ford anymore. MSD don't list on webshop. I've sent Woodford Garage a message. Hoping they might have one. Any other suggestions on where I could try?
