Love the old phone. Would be good to make the phone buttons operate the air some how.
Take the phone apart and put a small micro switch under each button you want to do something, say under the answer phone button for up and end call button for down.
Wire each switch into a base multi-core cable where the lead comes out of the phone itself and each switch works the relay or direct action if low enough current.
