As with all the social media stuff though, you have to be careful what you believe when it comes to the cars people post. Earlier this year, I saw the Fiesta ST with tiger stripes that featured prominently on her channels being used at a Ford sales training event, so I assume it was a press car that they had lent her, rather than her own car. The same was probably true with the Focus RS 50 Evocation that she was running for a while.

When these social media influencer types say, "Look at my car!!!", take the "my" part with a pinch of salt, as it may well not be. Lending people like her cars is pretty cheap publicity for an OEM like Ford, and far less risky than lending them to traditional media outlets like Evo, Autocar etc etc. After all, they might say something negative - when do you ever hear an influencer ever say anything negative about a car they are "testing"?

This is one of the biggest problems with social media sadly; it's very difficult to distinguish between what is genuine journalism and what is advertising content. The lines are blurred very intentionally.
