Have fixed it twice on ours, parts cost around 50p plus an hour or so of your time

It’s the black plastic collar that goes round the metal gear lever. See photos.
It appears to be a complete unit, rather than something I can swap out.
by the looks of it I’d have to buy the whole selected mechanism (about £25 used on the bay)?
Tou can see in the pics where the garage has bonded it. It’s rock solid resin. It works...but is not a permanent solution.
