Hopefully someone can help me with this.

I've had my MK2 ST in for an engine rebuild due to cracked liners, whilst everything was out I was advised that my existing turbo had a small amount of play in it and I should look for another turbo.

I purchased what i was informed was an new ST turbo but it turns out it's not.
Please could someone have a look at these photos and tell me if this turbo is any good or if it's a cheap knockoff?

From what i can find it's meant to be a Garret T34. The product ID is 452059-01
