Default Anyone got experience with 2.0 Duratec engines? Fiesta ST/Mondeo/Focus folk?

Just looking for a bit of advice...

My Escort RS2000 rally car currently uses the standard chain driven, Sierra-with-a-16v-head lump. It's ok, but obviously under-powered by modern standards. The plan is to use it as-is for now, but buy another engine to build up as and when I get time, then swap it over next winter. With these engines getting old, parts are getting harder to find, not to mention the fact they're blinkin' heavy. I've been looking at other options and the Duratec seems to make a lot of sense, as it's much more modern, fairly plentiful and has reasonable tuning potential without going crazy (don't have the money for that sadly).

It seems it is possible to fit it into the Escort with custom mounts (which I'm running anyway) and, in Mondeo form, it was used with the MTX75 gearbox, which I'm using, albeit an earlier Focus one. Hopefully I can rebuild my 'box with a Mondeo Duratec bellhousing to get the bolt pattern right.

With this in mind, I have a few questions:

Firstly, what are the differences between the 2.0-litre in the MK3 Mondeo and the one used in the Fiesta ST? I assume most of the ancillaries are different, but are their internal differences too?

How are they in terms of oil etc? My current engine suffers from oil starvation through long sweepers without a baffled sump. Is the Duratec also susceptible?

If any Fiesta ST owners have any pictures of the engine/ancillaries, that would be really helpful, as just trying to figure things out currently.

Finally, any thoughts on tuning? My plan was just to make sure it was fresh, then use a set of throttle bodies, aftermarket exhaust manifold (might need to be custom to fit in the Escort) and a set of cams to give a smidge over 200bhp. Not earth shattering, but enough to give the a car a kick up the backside.

Any help appreciated!
