i gave one of my admin staff her Xmas bonus and as she was going off to Thailand for Xmas, I gave her a pre-paid credit card with £250 on it and £50 in Aussie dollars as she was going on to Aus to see family....not a thanks when she went and when she got back I asked if she had any probs using the card, "it worked fine" she said....not a thanks In sight. I a, sure she appreciated it in some way but struggled to articulate it maybe?
on the flip side, I have sent people on here items and they have been full of thanks and appreciation.
This kind of thing gets right on my nerves lately. I saved a guy off side of dual carriageway few months back and he just said "see ya" and went to Walk away! I said that's ok mate I don't mind risking my life in a live lane to save you but always appreciate a thanks after. He just looked blankly at me and went on his way. It's like people are so programmed now that if someone's doing a job or providing a service then they are entitled to it and why should they say thanks. Boils my piss it really does
