I've used the flash gun to check the timing, but theres no guage on the engine cover for degrees. I can only say that it was about 20* BTDC... But I know that the timing's meant to be around 10* BTDC.
So now, with both the octane wires bridged and earthed, so that it gives me 6* retard, it runs better, but it still hunts for revs and runs rich with the fuel screw all the way in.
