The engine is in and sitting on the mounts without the Engine crane.
Today I cut down the tin sump to clear the 944 alloy cross member and have started tacking it back together to form the new shape. I think I will add some extra capacity at the rear to bring the overall volume back to where it was.
I found a manual pedal box with clutch pedal on eBay for £30 so I have still spent under £500 on the conversion including the donor Engine. I was also glad to see that Mr Porsche had included all the mounts for the manual clutch setup on the auto shell, the shells are identical.
