Escort Rs Turbo S1 Misfire

Just joined the site.
I own a RS turbo S1, which I have owned for a long time and have had in dry storage for 14 years.
Last year I noticed the fuel evaporated, so added a gallon of fuel and fired her up, she sprung into life in a few seconds.
I ran the engine for a while on a few evenings. I took her for and MOT test, and drove her back.
Driving her back going uphill she spluttered and stopped.
I added a gallon of fuel under the impression the fuel had run out (fuel gauge is not working ? stuck float on sender unit).
She refused to start. called RAC who diagnosed it as possible Fuel Pump fault.
I got my RST recovered to a garage, whom installed a new pump, timing belt, HT leads, Dist Cap, Rotor and plugs, fuel filter and oil service.
The timing could not be done by the garage as they did not have a timing light.
The car drove very poor misfiring and stalling.
Got a local mechanic to do the timing, car still ran poor.
Thinking it was linked top Cyl 2, I changed the injector and crankcase filter and changed the plugs again.
I did a compression test and Cyl 2 was 90, whilst the other 3 were 150.
Got the car taken to a local garage, cylinder head has been taken off and sent to specialist to do a full refurb, findings were 2 x exhaust valves were burnt and replaced. Bores and pistons were perfect.
Engine reassembled with all new gaskets.
She is still running poor, she fires up fine, if leave idling for a few minutes she stalls.
If started and throttle pressed she splutters runs rough (as though backfiring/misfiring) and stalls.
So completely underivable. Today took the pipes off the fuel accumulator (near tank) at the back and attached directly to the fuel pump, but still same problem.
Help would be appreciated.
Problem is not many people understand these cars nowadays anyone in West Yorkshire area? .
