It's quite possibly a place holder - you'll see that all the time on eBay and the like; and item with a ridiculous price on it so no one will buy it because the item is out of or hasn't come into stock yet, but it keep the ad space/listing live until the final ad is in place.
Or it's a dreamer hoping to find someone desperate and/or stupid
I have noticed that as well on E-Bay, if the item is out of stock they stick a massive upgrade on the price and when more stock comes in it goes back to the original price .Maybe this is the case with this car but it still seems pointless to me.
