So GF went out a bought a "new" 2008 Ka on a whim and it turns out it has some issues after a few weeks (and TBH its a piece of poo) but anyway!

1 - P0501 - vehicle speed sensor A range/performance

I have done some hunting on the web and I am getting conflicting info about whether this is due to ABS sensors or the VSS sensor, which might not exist due to ABS sensor. Today I was looking around to see what I could find. I found the sensor in the pic below on the front side of the gear box. It is knackered and when I tried to unclip it the whole sensor almost came out. GB oil is also leaking out of it. To me it would make sense that it is the VSS sensor and explain the error. Can anyone confirm that is it in fact the VSS sensor so I can order a new one. Its a manual BTW.
