The gaskets have the same holes too so i take it your not wanting to block off them holes in the block?
a few holes are blocked at the front but these are at the back of the block/head . cvh and zetec are different the zetec ones are oval where the cvh are round so the cvh decomp plate would seal them against the zetec gasket to the block then a cvh gasket on top of the plate to seal to the head ,
