You can buy softer springs for a coil over unit via Faulkner for peanuts...just have to be aware that the units will be valved for the spring they come with.

Jeff mentions far too stiff on softest setting but I think that misses the point that stiffness is the spring rate, the adjustability is in the damping which just slows the spring down more or less depending on the setting.

A lot of the cheaper end of the market use stiffer springs as springs are dirt cheap and the damper is the expensive bit, the way manufacturers of modern cars and coil overs hide poor damping is to add a stiff spring (not saying Gaz are cheap or rubbish as I do not know)

General Info: Often people also assume that if you screw the spring up or down it will get stiffer, it does not, it is a set spring rate throughout its travel, the ride height is just that.
