ZVH conversion
hi guys this is my first post (well second but something went wrong with the previous one so I'm writing this out again lol)
"start at the second paragraph if you're not bothered about the tale of woe"
I bought my 88 erst about 6 months ago with engine issues, it had chewed through a cam (I guessed because of low oil pressure causing the lifters to go spongy) so I rebuilt the head then stuck a high pressure oil pump on which made her run great and even better after I sorted the C0 out, but three days later another cam and this time it worn the bottom of the lifters off completely so after yet another rebuild of the head all seemed well so I took it off for mapping, after the drive to the rolling road it had developed yet another knock this time from the bottom end but after hours of work and parts I decided to just give it a go and see what happens.... It achieved 93hp haha so after a few runs and settling around 145hp it decided to seize (some debris must have blocked an oil way)
soo after all this had happened and after being told countless times it'll be pretty unreliable if its not standard I decided to get myself a ZVH
the engine I ended up with needed a rebuild so thats with specialised engines now getting some TLC
I'm having a gearbox built by German gearboxes at stage 2 so should hold the 200-250hp target
which brings me to my probably complicated question... what else do I need?
fuel pumps? regulators? loom? management? is there anything bespoke ill need?
I've tried searching around but nobody seems to get involved with these any more apart from oddkid creations but he seems a busy lad and quite rightly with all the phone calls he gets every day didn't really seem very forthcoming with info unless I had money to spend with him which is understandable
anyways any help would be much appreciated
thanks in advance
Tom
