The drug dealer has been tempting me with some 7075 lightweight flanges, the 4 that hold the wheel studs, I had not heard of 7075 before and it was secretly developed by the Japanese years ago and is now used for the undercarriages of aircraft, it is very light and quite resistant to corrosion whilst being as strong as steel....we will see what we can get the cost down to.
I am working on the doors today and adding some ally bar behind the hinge points and check strap as I know these will break in a gust of wind if the door is left open if not.
He mentioned this when I asked him about custom flanges, you having them? Does he get them broached by somebody else? My uncle was explaining to me about broaching for the splines very interesting he was saying it's done chemically I think
