I did look at the Audi boxes and there were quite a few listed, I will try and find the list I made. Yes, the shifter is an issue.

For what I paid for a 5 speed manual box (£50) I can put an LSD in it and it will still be at the same price as an old 944 Turbo LSD box.

V8 LS is an easy fit if you buy the parts from USA as they are all tried and tested, just a much bigger budget. 1.8T is an easy fit and cheap as chips to do.

I suspect the 5 pot would bolt up in the same way as I did mine
