Nothing challenging about them. Now add in similar cars all vieing for the same bit of track/time thats when it becomes fun.
I have done a bit of racing and do not personally enjoy the competitive side of things, I also used to do a fair bit of quick go karting but had a few nasty accidents.
It depends what you are looking for out of a track day, I would say that setting and repeating a consistent lap is very challenging and I enjoy car control, we used to do a lot of wet handling stuff as we had an instructor with licence to use MiRA, he taught F1 drivers so we had a lot of use of that.
Nurburgring is VERY challenging just to get round a lap quickly and on public days you are rubbing doorhandles with the local ring nutter locals.
