so had a good poke about the arches looked good he said they were re welded years ago if true they did a good job the paint job, but were some bits peeling in odd areas, i bit more shocked under the bonet to behonest the engine casing looked far more rusty then i thought it should be. took a look undernieth and it was so so def bits rust and rusty bits (forgot to check the boot! i did give it a test drive (bit tricky with the choke) he said engine was still cold just gave it a few laps around car park area as still trying to get it through mot. think car be more worth £1500 as clearly needs some work but he wont budge past 2k, water pump was leaking but he said he replace that for me. he nice chap said drive it half way to mine to pick up. thoughts??
