I love seeing Fords in films and things on the telly, so i am with you on the honour of going in a Crown Vic.
I was adamant i wanted the lightest V8 with the most power (with fuel injection).
The quad cam 32 valve block is wider than the big block ford 7.2 litre lump, but weighs significantly less
.
If i went for the 2 or 3 valve block i would not have had to cut into wings or bonnet - thus saving months of aggro. You only live once though
