Default My V8 Capri Under The Knife Again

Hi everyone long time no speak lol,
Time i did an update me thinks,

well in 2015 i finally killed the v8 in the Capri too much boost as you do and cracked a piston
looked at going the forged route but needed to sell a kidney for forged pistons as soon as you mention Rover V8,
So the car sat in the garage for 9months with no bonnet or engine,
While on holiday in the USA in the October of 2015 i had an email from a new RV8 parts company (v8 Performance Parts) that wanted to help me with a new engine for the car,
thought it was a wind up at first but after a few emails they asked to see me after my return back to the UK,
after a few lengthy discussions we agreed on a fully forged stroked 4.8ltr Rover V8,

The spec as follows:
Rover 4.6 crank offset ground to give 3.4" stroke and the journals reduced to 2" diameter,
lightweight Lunati 6" Chevy H beam rods, and ARP rod bolts,
Diamond forged slipper race pistons with fully floating pins,

TA Performance Roller Rockers,
TA Performance Hollow pushrods (oil feed for top end)

Original efi manifold system from the old engine but opened out to 45mm ports
45mm bore short alloy trumpet base,

Easter 2017 the engine went back in the car

And how it looks now:

July 2017 we headed up to Brosley to Bailey Performance so Dale could set her up,
had a day of issues with the cable clutch keep jumping out and in the end snapping,
before we had all the hassles this is where things got interesting,
the old 4.6 supercharged engine made 404rwhp at 14psi of boost,
we were running this new one quite soft on boost due to an engine which had only done 200 miles lol and we got 380rwhp at only 3psi of boost,
we are now back up to 10psi of boost and 485bhp BUT the supercharger can't feed the engine quick enough.
the engine revs round to 7500rpm and keeps pulling while on the dyno Dale was amazed how well it pulls and wants to keep going lol,

SOOOOOOO,
where do we go from here i hear you ask,
The cars pedal box has now been converted to a fully hydraulic clutch set up, and so far nearly a year on no more clutch issues,
And after a chat to Dale, Allan from V8 performance Parts and Procharger in the USA we now have a D1SC procharger supercharger going on this year as soon as the bracketry is finished and we are going to see if we can push the engine to 20psi and near on 600bhp, not bad for a little 190 bhp rover v8
