Personally I would prefer to avoid two pumps and a lifter, on my new fuel cell we will have a low sump through the bottom of the car feeding a single pump that is good enough for 700bhp (mad sell them). You can then avoid one pump failing and Engine going lean.

Run a big 30 amp relay and good wire and a good Earth. On some relays you can wire the ecu to fuel pressure to save the engine. On my viper the ecu switches an Earth to turn on the pump.
