Only repair I have done is to replace the actuator assembly , but the part alone is £600 IIRC
If the actuator is replaced the transmission needs 'learning' on IDS which is the Ford main dealer tool.
The oil level filler hole can be accessed via the large hole in the centre of the bracket, the motor has been removed in this pic.
