looks like replacing the fuel pump loom should be done as a mater of course not just something to ponder, also the alternator feed to battery looks to be a positive move (no pun intended).

Yes, my car improved no end when I changed the Alternator wiring. Where are you based? I have the proper tool if you need to make off new ends on the wires if buying the cable. You can get Cable from Vehicle Wiring products or car builder solutions and I THINK they can make the ends off for you if needed.
