Default Couple of 4x4 questions (fuel pump & ISCV)

Afternoon folks......

As always I've had a search on here but there seems to be a mixed bag of answers and solutions.

So first question..

Once the cars been running 10/15 mins and getting warm the engine starts to surge...up to 2500 then back down to almost cutting out but just about saves itself before stalling...never cut out completely but becoming more frequent also while driving and pulling up to lights and juncions it's starting to surge.

So the ISCV seems to be the first port of call BUT which is the way to clean it??

Any other suggestions that a basic tool box can sort/investigate??

Secondly the fuel pump re wire, the cars a 92 4x4 sapphire cossie and as far as I can tell it's the original fuel pump and wiring.

I can do most things with a good guide/instructions so which kit for this would be most suited to me and my car??

Sorry to ask what seems to be a very common issue but I'm struggling to pick out the correct info for me.

Thanks.
