Thanks for your reply. I had done some investigation into this and apparently there is no list pump in the tank. That was one of my previous thoughts but the high pressure common rail pump sucks the fuel from tank. I can suck petrol from the tank manually with a hand pump and there is fuel present in the fuel lines that go over the front of the engine.
