I’m sure I heard somewhere that someone mounted one on a 4x4 manifold I could be wrong though, I went 2wd manifold when I fitted mine, they are v band fitted onto the down pipe, mine was water cooled, if it’s designed to be water cooled why try and bypass it?? Asking for problems there
