Default help.... track day preperation advice required

hello folks, after owning my present s1 for a while now and finally got the engine and mecanics sorted ive decided to do a few track days. however as ive never done any i require any advise, tips that u guys have to offer.

spec of car :-

series one rs turbo

190 bhp reliable 10 psi of boost engine done 5000 miles
poloybushed all the way round
pro alloy front mounted intercooler
pro alloy rad
vibratech engine mounts
samcos
ford motorsport top adjustable suspetion setup
scorpion exhaust
16" wheels and tyres
everything else standard interia etc

the 16" wheels are for the rare disc conversion and im currantly up grading the fronts to st170 set up

firstly, im ordering a new set of wheels and tyres for track day use so what are the best options? i looked at getting compomotives but the prices have just shoot up for some reason so looking at other options.
i have been offered wheels called "pro-race 2" light weight wheels with toyo proxies in 16" for £720 all in,ive never heard of the wheels before and i know proxies arnt bad but are the suitable for track.

also what are the best tyres to go for? full slick? track day tyres so u can drive on the road with them to the event? again looking at the prices i could have 2 sets of goodyear eagle f1 to 1 set of yoko r888. so is it worth the money?

the car is being checked over regarding the toe in-out and all the angles of the wheels by a garage so hopefully all willl be ok.

any other advice would be welcomed, fingers crossed i will be on track at castle combe if i was quick enough to get my application in quick enough.
