Default Another ST170 project

I’m nice and new here so I thought I’d jump straight into the deep end with my latest little project.
I picked up this old girl the other week for £450. Needs plenty of work doing to get her up to scratch. But that’s pretty ideal as I want another long term project.

The drivers window was smashed, apparently some one tried stealing it over a month ago and it’s been garaged since.
I’m not sure how true that was as there’s no other damage to the steering lock or anything. As there’s only one key I’d hazard a guess at some one locked the key in the boot by accident and had no other way of getting in.
Any way a new window came with the car so I’m not fussed either way.
Other little issues are dented rear quarter panels, exhaust leak, 3 bald tyres and the EML is on.

Before i go to far I should probably say what my plans are and a bit of background. This is my first ford, all the other cars I have had have been vag. I’ve been modifying them for a fair few years but now feel like a bit of a different challenge.
Ive looked around a bit at different options and decided to start with a chassis that handles well right off the bat.
I love to do as much as I can myself, including all the fabrication of weird and wonderful things.

(If you only like fords please ignore the next little bit)

Some of my previous little projects have been supercharging a 2.0 8v

Any way enough of that old cobble, back to the ST
First priorities will be to clean the bodywork up inside and out.
Then sort any mechanical issues and finally giving it a touch of boost for good measure along with any other upgrades along the way.
Thats the past and future out of the way so on to the present.

up on a 4 post ramp having a look about. There’s going to be a lot of work here, lots of patches of surface rust that’ll need sorting out.

I’ve started pulling some of the interior out ready for my cousin to show me how to push a few dents out and use his trick little dent puller.

hopfully tomorrow I’ll take a few more pics of the dents and scratches, then load her back onto the trailer ready for the trip over to my cousins body shop on Tuesday.
