Default My new wheels tyre sizing 205 4x4 pug

My car currently has 195/45/16 on 7 inch rims (ET25), I tried it on my other set of comps which are 8X16 ET 25 and they poke out a little too much, they do fit but looks over wheeled.

I have just received a set of 8X16 ET 28 from James Kieley on here with a mind to maybe skimming off 2-3mm if they need bringing in a little.

I wonder if 8 inch may be too wide for the front, will try them but they may rub on full lock and the steering lock is poor already.

If I go for 195/45/16 on 7 inch on the front I think I can go for 215/40/16 on the rear and have under 0.7% speedo deviation which I think is fine to not wind up the diffs.

My questions are: 1) Would this look odd? 2) Is there a problem, grip wise or other having wider tyres and rims on the rear of the car when it is 4wd? I have Supra Weir kitted diff in the rear and Quaife in the front with uprated VC in the centre, the diffs are new and tight so not a lot of give in the car.

Car is running 470 bhp and around 500 ftlb torque and 195 tyres look a little skinny on the back
