The only thing i heard about compbrake is that the rose joints wear out. Only one or 2 cases of complete wear.
Didn't have problems with my compbrake so far. And they are pretty nice for the money.

I think the MK ones are a bit overkill and probably wear out to quick with my use.
Don't know if the 3door ones have the same quality as the 2wd ones.

How is the quality of the burton ones?
