Hi Karlos - thanks for your reply,

On the turbo rebuild website they do a standard cartridge and a 'stage 1' also, I wanted to go with the stage 1 as just a small upgrade as I have a 2 1/2" straight through pipe and the car is on standalone management - it's a weird setup, the previous owner pulled all the k-jetronic equipment out and had an efi system custom made for the car. Due to the fact that European RS's are as rare as hen's teeth out here they used parts from a Nissan RB20 (AFM etc etc) to make the whole thing work, which it does pretty well. At the last dyno tune it pulled 169 bhp which is not bad for an engine I'm fairly sure is standard except for an exhaust and air filter.

My goals are to just get her up and running again as she's my daily driver and obviously work out why the turbo seems to be smaller than standard, then decide whether to buy a used one in need of repair off someone to get the correct size or to try and get this 'smaller' one rebuilt, or third option buy a new turbo but I would have no idea what I need to look for to compare like for like for garrett or any other turbo manufacturer, so I would need help from someone in the know.

Thanks mate

Craig.
