most after market ecu's are aimed at modern (high imp) injectors. modern ecu's which are able to support low impedance injectors are generally aimed at supportting legacy injectors or very large injectors e.g. 1600cc upwards (which tend to still be low impedance) . you aren't trying to support legacy injectors but you *are* trying to support a legacy ecu!
by the time you add wasted spark board and leads and all that stuff to the l8 you are cobbling it together and it costs about the same as aftermarket but with less features.
