I don't think you will get 4x4 on a 2wd at all, sounds like you need 2wd cossie setup and some new hubs OR weld up and re-tap the hubs....needs to be good for brakes.
After doing a bit of research - to fit 2wd cossie hubs to this Sierra I will also need to fit the bottom arms which are pinch bolt type. The bottom arms on this GT are secured with a castle nut & split pin.
So will need cossie hubs & bottom arms
