Anything can be adapted.

If it had injection before, clearly there is room for injectors. So it would be a case of modifying your intake to take modern injectors, make up a fuel rail etc etc etc.

As for which ecu, that really depends on budget, but there are dozens of options from very cheap to not very cheap.
