So my daily driver is a Mondingo with the 2.0 Duratec petrol. It's just hit 65k and the dmf has just started to rattle.

Any body have any experience of how long they hang in for.

Do they just fail or do they get worse and worse ?

The insurance is up in about three weeks so it would be handy if I can get another 500 miles from it before I retire it. But I could do with out getting stranded on the A1 as well.
