Jeff my builder who I've used before is a one man band who is more than happy to keep himself in work and earn a living wage and keep getting plenty of work instead of charging the earth and never getting no work if you know what I mean. He built my extension and it was faultless so iam more than happy to use him , plus he's a real nice bloke.
Saved a £1100 by just going from travis Perkins to build base for material quotes , piss take really as you would expect them to be a few hundred quid difference but not £1100.
Because the garden is 35m long from front to back iam looking at hiring a concrete pump which is £250 a time and I will need it twice or I got a quote from barramix who mix it and barrow it down the garden so we haven't got to do anything which works out he same as a concrete lorry and pump so choice is mine really it just means less organising.
