2 car- 2000 reg astra, had just under 3 years, spent £2500- £3000 on repairs.
3rd car - 53 plate citoren xsara 2.0 - had 5 weeks, fuel pump gave up, gave it to a mechanic who did a job on my current car
4 th car- had for 18 mpnths , had over £2,000 on repairs on it in that time, I do not want to just get rid like have with others.
If I sell it now I'd probably only get £200 ( so I'd strip the parts of it ) but it runs great, just have to top up water once a fortnight, as soon as I put water in and fill tank tank is empty after 10 minutes but still drives for weeks without overheating nad if you take cap off when hot the water rushes up to top of tank so plenty of water in it.
£430 seems rather good for hg replacement imo, at least it'd have a new timing belt e.t..c, but then I may as well replace the turbo at same time so will push it to £530, then a new turbo pipw ill be £550 ( second hand pipe)
it torments whenever I get in the car, fix or not it just constantly goes round in my mind.
You'll would of saved a lot of money by getting a bus pass lol.
