The aerial, transceiver call it what you like is not coded to the Ecu. They are tuned to work at a frequency. And pre 97 is differant to post 97.
But a Mondeo aerial will work in a focus ect of a similar age.
If you have the rdif chip from the key that was matched to the 2.0 ecu you don't need another.
the doner car was 2000 and the car the engine and loom are now in is a 2002 facelift but when i put the key in and turn it with the 2.0l ECU - nothing !
