I am running 3 cars and I am retired so some careful thought is required. I think I will learn to live with the engine management light on all the time. As there is an oil warning light and a temperature guage, that should be enough insurance to warn of impending problems. On the upside, the car has been averaging around 38 mpg but today, I did around 75 miles at motorway speeds and the average has gone up to around 43 MPG and the car feels quicker and smoother. So, a little bad and a lot of good. I will clean and keep the EGR valve and cooler pipe so as I can revert back if I should wish to at any time.
