Not justifying it but maybe it's too easy to steal a new range rover or bmw,an old cossie might be a challenge or someone may have a gripe with the owner or want it so badly they will pay yo have it taken.
The way they get taken doesn't seem professional to me,they are prob professionals but to turn up at 10 pm with a low loader and drag it onto the back just seems crazy to me.
Here's a couple of questions I have about car theft, especially old fords.
1,do they ever get found?
2,out of all the high profile thefts,I.e the white Astra van towing the mk1 escort away did any more come of it or was that it,no parts were ever found etc?
3,where are they going,Europe in the back of a truck??or broken up here and the shells crushed?
I know prob only the tea leafs themselves could tell you but it's a horrible thing but quite interesting.
I know of a pond close to me which is full of cars, some stolen some not.
It was pumped out once as the water was used to irrigate nearby potatoe fields and I personally stood on top of a saph cosworth shell which was sitting on top of a white s2.
There is also a full 4x4 in there as the thief shoved it in after stealing it as he heard on his scanner the police were waiting for him as they had an idea who took it and where they were headed,my friend knows the scumbag and asked him and he confirmed it.
