Hi I'm sure there are a lot of these threads but I will add it again! I will try to add as much info as possible regards what happened..And ask a few questions.


The engine stopped running just as if it had been turned off .. no juddering no misfires just a smooth stop .. while coasting or being towed in gear the coil light flashes but not when stood still. We have an OBD reader but will not work on this van!
I have opened injector pipe and seem to have fuel pressure so hopefully it's not the pump.
starting has been fine except for the recent sub zero days when she took a few attempts then ran a little rough but only for a few seconds then ran and started normally after that.
Although nearly 300k the engine was rebuilt about 30k ago and apart from a small oil leak seems good.

Q1, I presume contaminated fuel would have resulted in a misfire or some sort of rough running.
Q2, Would a fuel pump failure be instant and smooth?
Q3, I have heard there are some common electrical / wiring faults can you point me at any and where exactly are they located.
