Hello again,
going for fuel injection will mean you changing the fuel tank, pump and lines so that's the first £100 of your budget gone. The mk1 mondy engine is a silvertop and if my memory is correct you need to change the sump and pick up from the 1.8 escort engine you may also have to do this to the later blacktop, please check this before buying anything, if you have to buy a 1.8 then why not fit it, get it running and if you need more power then fit cams and ho inlet for the same bhp as the 2.0? also if the memory is holding the 1.8 is lighter and suits the car better
