The Bosch Fuel Injection was a bit of a nightmare and added complexity without much benefit.
Partly true, although the K-Jet is a bit of a mystery, it's a very simple mechanical injection and when you do a bit of research on it, can be made to give quite good power. It's cheap to modify and would give superior performance to a carb setup.
