I was toying with doing that. Was worried about getting the rubber hose clamped tightly enough round the cut end of the plastic pipe. Didn't know if I could tighten the jubilee clip enough with the pipe collapsing.

To be honest mate that's asking for an engine bay fire. Seen it beofre at work a Saab caught fire after one of the local garages did the same. Burnt down outside out work round the corner from said garage
