Just go to ultimate finish website and look up the size for your rotary (be very careful with a rotary as you can burn right through very easily) I would use less cut compound and pad with a rotary.
I highly recommend the 3m ones and the top of the bottle is colour coded to the pad i.e. blue bottle means to use blue backing pad.
