Need to have some track action so you get to see, hear and smell the cars actually being used.
Hence the best shows IMO are Ford Fair, RSOC National Day, RS regional days at Coombe, Croft. (RS Cumbria show being the exception...Mk2 escorts ).

I understand the sessions issue and you get lots of plonkers at FF tying to show off , but often organisers struggle to find enough people to fill open pit lane and actually use their car hard for a full day.


Variety of cars helps.


Loud chavvy music that makes your ears want to bleed is a big put off.
