To be honest mate I've only second hand knowledge of building a Zetec turbo that my mate did, de compression plate stock internals with some home made head work with a dremel and a Cossie t3 turbo, went like fook mind! Wasn't running masses of boost but he built it all for free of old stuff he had lying about apart from the plate, belts and gaskets etc.
That's cool mate, understand. I'm happy to spend a bit, but only where necessary
This is all about keeping costs low but getting a good result and also reliability. So there's a balance to be struck.
